YOURSELF?

I’m Zine Yaala, a 22 year old Moroccan singer. I’ve been living in London since September. I studied in Paris and received a bachelor’s in business administration. I moved to London to complete a master’s in digital marketing, as well as sing for The Voice.

PRACTICE?

I realised that the visual aspect in music was very important, and that people were not only interested in listening to the music, but also by the visuals that accompany it. I decided to release videos for all the music I make, because I find that to be an important part of the art. So, it’s a pretty big project, in the sense that I’m looking to make a video for every single music release. So I guess it’s not just one project, but multiple projects at a time !

DREAM COLLABORATION?

Wow ! It would be Rihanna, or The Weeknd. I love his style – he really is within my genre. And Rihanna, well, it’s Rihanna !

LONDON?

I love it ! In a certain sense, I left Paris because of it. I don’t find the creative scene in France has developed enough. It’s a shame, because France used to be an artistic hub. So I moved to London, because London has a huge influence in the music industry; it’s a place that saw iconic groups, like The Beatles, and well known studios. It made sense for me to move to London, and actually it’s the best of both worlds: I’m able to study the master’s I wanted to, as well as pursue my music.

SSSHAKE?

To meet other creative people and to create long lasting relationships. Honestly, I’m open to everything, in the sense that the music industry involves so many other industries, from photography, videography, or graphic design for logos, covers, albums, etc. I’m just looking for cool people to do projects with !
