YOURSELF?

I’m Paige Morrison, a 21-year-old graphic designer. I don’t even want to say I’m a graphic designer though. I’m just going to say an artist for now. A digital artist. No, not even digital, because I can – I can sew. [laughing]

PRACTICE?

I’m doing some short zines at the moment. Some are going to be more collages and art pieces and some are going to probably be more political.
I also want to work on my animation skills a bit more and make some moving image pieces, a short film maybe. But, like, a short short film.

DREAM COLLABORATION?

I’m ready to make some trainers! [laughing] I do have a love for trainers, so trainers are something where I’m like I would love to create my own.
And if I’m designing them, I know what the branding is going to be. It would be amazing if I could actually make my design happen.

LONDON?

I feel like it’s very difficult to integrate yourself into the London creative scene sometimes. It is hard to find the people you can connect with and just create with. It is also difficult to juggle work, uni, and try and do a project outside of that. So, I like the London creative scene; it’s okay, but I’m not sure if it’s for me quite yet.

SSSHAKE?

I’m hoping to meet people who want to create work and are happy to speak to other people, that accept people. That’s what I’m expecting from SSSHAKE – Just artists accepting other artists and not being judgmental; having a space to
share and create.
