YOURSELF?

My name is Luke. I’m a painter and illustrator, I guess. I would define my style as surreal, I guess and mostly black and white.

PRACTICE?

I’m doing a lot of murals. I’m doing a private mural next week. This guy is flying me to his house in Croatia. He has a really big house and he’s flying four artists to paint the whole side of it. Everyone gets a side of the building.

DREAM COLLABORATION?

I want to work with fashion designers to design prints. I’d like to also work with animators.

LONDON?

It’s dead. It’s tough. Most people move to Berlin now. But I mean it’s more work, if you’re an artist. I wanted to move to Berlin, but I keep coming back to London. It’s good to get work here, I still find a lot of work.
But I don’t really live much of the year here. I kind of see London as a place where you do a stopover, do a few jobs, go somewhere and come back.
I love coming back to the museums. All the galleries and museums are free here. But pretty much everywhere else in the world, they’re not.

SSSHAKE?

I think that it would be good to connect with industry professionals or like people that are in need of artists for paid work. It’s good to network but these companies don’t know how to get an artist to collaborate with. I think this app could be useful in finding these connections.
