YOURSELF?

Hey! My name’s Emmanuel (or Manny if it’s easier), and I’m a student at the Arts University Bournemouth studying Commercial Photography.

ANY PROJECT?

I’m currently working on technical skills during my first year on the course. My final projects for the year are focused on linking back to the history of commercial photography, and re-working pieces to make something new – Fun! I like to focus on Documentary work…

DREAM COLLABORATION?

Tough choice. Possibly between Terry Richardson, Steven Klein or Martin Parr? – yes, complete ends of the theme spectrum but I’m always open to trying different genres of photography!

LONDON?

London, my home town is great. I find inspiration from literally anything from an elderly lady sat at a bus stop, to the people who drool over cars they’ll never be able to ride in in Knightsbridge– I miss it.

As the whole of the creative industry (and beyond) know, London is a key spot to hold exhibition spaces for photographers whether they be renowned or still climbing the career ladder. It’s enabled me to have so many opportunities such as having my work held in The Saatchi Gallery, and even meeting one of my inspirations, Juno Calypso, who is making her mark in the industry extremely fast – you need to check out her work! Not only is it open to the world of Photography, but it’s home to people pioneering in Fine Art and Music, where artists are beginning to have their voices heard, which can also inspire any creative individual.

SSSHAKE?

I’m excited to be able to collaborate with other people on a platform used solely for it’s purpose! I also hope to find new sources of inspiration from other photographers.
