YOURSELF?

I’m Caroline Derveaux, a 27 year-old French artist based in London since 2011.

PRACTICE?

I am a multi-disciplinary artist who focuses on different kind of visual art: painting, drawing, design, art direction, signage and scenography. But my favourite thing of all is painting on objects I find around me – tables, chairs, pizza boxes, etc… and most of all walls!

I’m currently exhibiting my work in Paris and London:

- N°195 exposition curated by Art Cherry in Paris, 195 rue de l’Université, until the 21th of October

- Tribe17 International Art festival at the Oxo Tower on the Southbank until the 15th

I usually split my year in two parts: in the spring / summer I work along festivals and work on collaborative projects abroad; autumn and winter being more concentrated on working on my art and commissions.

DREAM COLLABORATION?

I guess doing a collaboration with Grayson Perry, Natalie du Pasquier or Michael Craig-Martin. Absolute idols.

LONDON?

I think London may one the best place in the world for art, there is just so much going on all the time. I feel a lot of energy from the creative scene as it is extremely competitive, it makes things harder but definitely more thrilling.

SSSHAKE?

I am expecting to meet new people and collaborate.
