YOURSELF ?

My name is Alfredo Guarracino, or I like to be called Al Boy. I always liked to change my “nickname” and play with the letters of my name; this is probably due to my past as graffiti writer. I consider myself a curious person. I love to study and experiment with different things and techniques, always trying to reach new targets and following what makes me happy. At the end of day it’s all about that, isn’t it ?

PRACTICE ?

Mmm, it’s not simple to explain, eheh. I’m a resident tattoo artist in London and I’ve been working in a shop called Cloak and Dagger in Shoreditch for 4 years now. At the moment I’m working on a different project in Southern Italy with my friend Roberto, a great tailor and very creative person. The project consists in creating a “creative house” like an artist residence. My dream has always been to collaborate and work with different creative people from different fields, and now we are building a place where our guests can focus on their projects, enjoy nature and the slow life without the pressure of big city life: a creative hub, equipped with a big working area, a relaxing reading zone, and five comfortable bedrooms, surrounded by the incredible natural environment of the Cilento National Park !

This project is called “Kalimera Project” which means “Good morning”, because I truly believe that only a good awake can make your day a good day !

DREAM COLLABORATION?

Mmm, another interesting question, ehehe. Illustration and painting collaborations are always the most fun for me. Fashion designers, photographers, and filmmakers are very interesting people to collaborate with for sure. I’d love also to collaborate with musicians and actors - theatrical performances have always interested me very much ! I’m always open to new things basically, ehehe. Everything that can make my life happier and funnier is always welcome !

LONDON?

London is a cool place to be right now, because it’s full of creatives, starting with the business and how shops take care of their corporate identity, to the independent gallery and the public museum system, that gives a chance to loads of young artists. Art and craft for sure is a big thing here also. You can see creatives from all around the world here meeting up and hanging out very well. In my fields, I’m very lucky and proud to work with a great group of friends and really cool artists, thinking also about the guest artists that are working with us, sharing their tricks. I can’t only consider myself super lucky but I can say that “my London” is well surrounded by a cool “creative” scene for sure, but obviously it’s never enough if we’re talking about influences and collaborations, I think.

SSSHAKE?

Don’t know really… I never used an app such as SSSHAKE before, but I’d love to have the chance to meet new interesting people, share my knowledge, and learn new things ! I can’t stop myself from learning and studying, so I think this app can definitely open new doors in my life and in my head :) ! Looking forward to meeting new SSSHAKE users !
